DOBERMAN / ABOUT US

About Doberman Group

Doberman Group Ltd provides specialist plant operation, steel and timber piling, operator development and practical technical advice for demanding projects across the UK and Ireland.

Practical capability, shaped by experience

Doberman supports contractors, plant owners, hire companies and manufacturers where sound judgement, experienced machine control and a clear understanding of equipment make a difference.

Our heavy-equipment experience spans forestry, agriculture, demolition, dredging, highways, piling, excavation and shoring. That breadth helps us assess unfamiliar applications and develop a workable approach.

Clear communication. Practical support.

Advice stays straightforward and focused on the work. We establish what needs to be achieved, explain the realistic options and help identify suitable equipment and methods.

Experience across industries

From specialist attachments and steel or timber piling to earthmoving and equipment familiarisation, Doberman brings practical knowledge to the point where planning meets site conditions.

We work with the people responsible for delivering the job, helping them address access, ground conditions, equipment capability and operating requirements.

Our forestry and piling experience also informs mechanical harvesting-to-installation methods, timber access routes, and ideas for adapting forwarders and other forestry machinery to remote piling logistics. We look at how materials reach the work as closely as the installation itself.

Capability for challenging environments

The experience behind Doberman includes work in deserts, mountains and maritime environments across North America, the Middle East, Europe, the UK and Ireland. Those regions and environments are not exhaustive; our resources and specialist network allow us to support technically challenging projects wherever the application takes us.

We apply that knowledge to each project’s actual conditions: terrain, weather, access, working space and the demands placed on machinery, attachments and operators.

Knowledge shared on site

Doberman has received manufacturer training on MOVAX SG side-grip pile drivers, DH piling hammers and MPL multi-tool piling leaders.

Doberman specialises in advanced operator development on site. Alongside specialist plant operation, we provide site-based training, equipment demonstration and familiarisation across a broad range of earthmoving, shoring machinery and specialist attachments.

We continue to operate and demonstrate equipment on demanding projects, using that experience to help clients understand their machines, attachments and working techniques.

Our technical support connects site requirements with manufacturers and specialist suppliers. We help develop or adapt tools, attachments and methods where a practical change can improve the job.

The story behind our name

Doberman takes its name from Doris, our founder’s first rescue Dobermann. That connection continues today: every Dobermann welcomed into the company has been a rescue.

Although our dogs have arrived with cropped ears and docked tails, Doberman opposes both practices. Their appearance reflects their lives before rescue; our commitment is to giving rescue dogs a loving home.
